Wellness and Vaccinations

Our team encourages all pets to visit the hospital every six months for a bi-annual exam. We complete annual laboratory testing and vaccines during these visits based on the most recent protocols recommended by the American Animal Hospital Association and your pet’s lifestyle. These protocols help us to prevent over vaccination while keeping your pet protected. We recommend rabies and distemper vaccines for all our patients because those diseases are lethal. We offer other vaccines based on factors such as age, breed, medical history, and lifestyle.

Puppies and kittens are encouraged to visit us about once a month until they are around 16 weeks of age because they require additional attention during these early stages of development. We want to answer any of your questions and spoil your family member with love and treats during their visits.

As our pets age, they are increasingly more susceptible to diseases such as cancer, diabetes and more. Our team wants your senior pet to experience a high quality of life in comfort, so we recommend that they receive a physical exam every six months and annual laboratory tests beginning at seven years of age.
