Periodontal disease is the number one medical problem diagnosed in companion animals. Most pets go their entire life without receiving appropriate dental care. Periodontal disease can lead to a variety of problems including oral pain, abscesses, heart disease, kidney disease, and behavioral problems. We are very serious about oral health. We begin emphasizing oral care in puppies, and continue as adults with semi-annual dental exams, dental cleanings, and periodontal care as necessary. In dentistry, an ounce of prevention really is worth a pound of cure.
